For this project, I was commissioned to create a chapter illustration for The Perfect Man by Violet Carso. Each chapter was assigned to a different illustrator to interpret visually. My contribution was a full-page illustration designed to function as the chapter’s title image.
Working from the themes and tone of the narrative, I developed a concept centered around consumerism and desire, rendered through a cyberpunk lens. The composition features a vending machine filled with packaged men, referencing mass production and commodification. A woman’s hand, with detailed acrylic nails, is seen holding a note ready to be inserted into the machine, acting as both a narrative device and compositional anchor.
